Position description

Prof. Elliot Botvinick seeks B.S. degreed candidates with strong laboratory research backgrounds and publication records. Interdisciplinary skills and approaches are required. This is an ongoing recruitment and positions are dependent upon extramural funding. Rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience. Initial appointments are for one year and renewal is based on availability of support. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Junior Specialists - Should possess a baccalaureate degree or equivalent degree preferably in Physics, Chemistry, or Biomedical Engineering or equivalent research experience.

Assistant Specialists - Should possess expertise consistent with four to six years of training and/or experience in the relevant specialization. Appropriate qualifications for appointees at this rank would include possession of a Master's degree in a relevant discipline, or possession of a relevant baccalaureate degree plus three or more years of research experience.

Associate Specialists - Should possess a master’s degree (or equivalent degree) or 5-10 yrs. of experience.

Specialists - Should possess a terminal degree (PhD/MD) (or equivalent degree) or 10+ yrs. of experience
