The MINIMUM salary range for this position is $86,500 - 228,600.

Position description

The School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of California, Irvine is seeking outstanding applicants for a Clinical X Professor series at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor levels within the Department of Clinical Pharmacy Practice. Founded in 1965, UCI is a top hospital and top-10 public university in U.S. News & World Report and home to several NIH-funded centers, including the Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center (CFCCC) and Institute for Clinical and Translational Sciences (ICTS). The UCI School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences along with Samueli Institute for Integrative Health, Schools of Nursing, Medicine, and Population & Public Health make up the UCI College of Health Sciences. The College is part of the integrated UC Irvine Health system that also encompasses UCI’s clinics and Orange County’s only academic medical center.

This position is open to all clinical specialties. Candidates at the assistant, associate, or full professor rank will be considered.

A successful candidate will be expected to teach both student pharmacists and pharmacy residents at the didactic and experiential levels and will engage in scholarly activities. Candidates are expected to lead or have a significant intellectual and substantive contribution to a research program and/or be involved in other creative activities. In addition, candidates can provide some clinical services and developing educational programs at the UC Irvine Medical Center (400+ bed tertiary care center) in the city of Orange or an affiliate site. This position will report to the Chair of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy Practice.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

Applicants must have a pharmacy degree and should have completed post-graduate training such as residency, fellowship, or another post-graduate training (eg. Masters, PhD). Competitive applicants will have experience in relevant scholarship, teaching, demonstrate commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, show promise for academic advancement within the UC system, and be eligible for California pharmacy licensure as applicable to the position. Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal communication skills, and the ability to work in a team are essential.
