Position description

The University of California, Irvine Department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics (DEB) invites applications from candidates who are interested in joining the department as a Research Specialist. Rank/Level and Salary will be determined based on previous work experience and educational background.

  • Candidates must hold an M.S. or Ph.D. or a similar degree in Epidemiology or Biostatistics or a related field. Candidates must have a strong research background in the diverse research areas that the DEB faculty focus on.

  • The incumbent is expected to work independently with occasional supervision (depending on level).

  • Strong problem-solving skills, creative thinking and initiative are required.

  • Ideal candidate(s) will have experience in epidemiology, public health, biostatistics, statistics, computer science, bioinformatics, or computational biology.
