Position description
The Yassa laboratory at the Department of Neurobiology and Behavior is seeking a professional researcher to assist with the scientific interpretation of clinical and imaging data. The successful candidate use computational approaches and software to evaluate different pathologies on MRI scans, advise on digital biomarker assessments, and contribute to the analytics.
The successful candidate will have an M.D. or Ph.D. in biochemistry, pharmacology, neuroscience, or a related field. Broad experience with diverse biomarker technologies, including but not limited to immunoassays, gene expression methodologies, epigenetics, next-generation sequencing and other genomic technologies, along with demonstrated ability to implement such technologies into clinical research. Ten years of experience in clinical and/or translational research, including discovery, development, and utilization of biomarkers and their associated technologies in an academic, clinical, and/or industry setting. Extensive expertise in immunoassay development and validation, particularly in the areas of neuroscience, psychiatric and neurodegenerative diseases. Must have experience in biomarker assays using complex matrices and advanced knowledge of biomedical statistics.
