Position description
Postdoctoral Scholar – Cramer Lab
The Cramer laboratory in the UC Irvine Department of Neurobiology and Behavior is accepting applications for a postdoctoral position to study the non-apoptotic roles of caspase-3 in auditory system development. The project will involve in ovo electroporation, DNA plasmid construction, immunofluorescence, and image analysis. In addition, part of the project will explore the roles of extracellular vesicles using purification, biochemistry, proteomics, and grafting studies.

The successful candidate will have or soon have a Ph.D. in a relevant field and have demonstrated capability relevant to the design and conduct of experiments and a record of research productivity including first author publications. The appointment will be initially for two years, with possibility of reappointment depending on fund availability and productivity. Salary commensurate with negotiated UC Postdoctoral rates. The position will remain open for one year or until filled.
