Position overview

Salary range: The salary range for this position is $74,100-$195,000. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment.

Position description

The Department of Chemistry anticipates openings for all levels of the Project Scientists series throughout the 2024-25 Academic Year. Applications are being sought from candidates with Ph.D. degree with backgrounds in various areas of Chemistry or a related field:

• Inorganic or Organometallic Chemistry
• Organic Chemistry or Chemical Biology
• Physical, Atmospheric, or Analytical Chemistry
• Polymer, Materials, or Nanoscience Chemistry
• Theoretical Chemistry

This is an ongoing recruitment. Positions are dependent on extramural funding and research contracts of individual Principal Investigators. Initial appointments are for one year and renewal will be dependent on availability of support. Project Scientist series rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
