Position description

The Department of European Languages and Studies at the University of California, Irvine, anticipates hiring lecturers to teach one or more sections of beginning and/or intermediate French language courses (French 1 and/or 2 or Intensive French 1AB or 1BC), or French literature and culture classes. Appointments will be made for one or more quarters with service periods of 9/23/24 to 12/13/24 (Fall 2024), 1/2/25 to 3/21/25 (Winter 2025), 3/26/25 to 6/13/25 (Spring 2025).

Minimum requirements are Master’s Degree or equivalent in French or related fields (Ph.D. preferred); fluency in French and teaching experience in a University setting required.
