Position description

The Department of Psychological Science at the University of California, Irvine invites applications for a non-tenure track, 100% appointment as a Postdoctoral Scholar. The initial one-year position can start as early as July 1, 2024 and may be renewed annually.

Candidates are sought to work on an NSF-funded study of cascading collective traumas (e.g., pandemics, natural disasters, wars) and their aftermath. A Ph.D. in Psychology or a related field is required. Prior work in disaster- or trauma-related mental/physical health is highly recommended. Previous experience managing large, multi-wave longitudinal datasets is required. Expertise in multi-level and structural equation modeling, analyzing weighted data from complex longitudinal surveys of probability-based samples, obtaining and managing social media data, experience with STATA and R, and excellent writing skills are strongly preferred.
