Position description

The UC Irvine School of Education seeks applicants for temporary, part-time lecturer pool in fall quarter 2024 to teach a course in the Master of Arts with Credential Program. Courses are available in the multiple subject and single subject pathway. Some courses are part of a 2-quarter or 3-quarter series.

Course Description:

Reading and Writing in the Middle and High School Classroom (EDUC 346) – 4 units, fall, single subject program, 2 sections available.
Emphasis is placed upon understanding the literacy processes (listening, speaking, viewing, reading, and writing) as they relate to all Single Subject areas. Teachers are guided to integrate literacy-related strategies with curriculum-based goals supported in the California State Frameworks.
Service Period Dates:
Fall Quarter is 9/23/24– 12/13/24

Minimum Qualifications:
A master's degree, a record of successful teaching experience, a valid multiple or single subject credential, experience teaching in K-12 setting, and demonstrated expertise in the content of the course to be taught. Relevant experience may be considered.

Desired Qualifications:
A doctoral degree in a field related to the course to be taught. Teaching at University level.
