Position description
The Gavin Herbert Eye Institute at the UC Irvine School of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology anticipates openings in the Project Scientist Series at the Assistant, Associate, and Full Project Scientist rank.
Applications are being sought from recent Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. graduates in the field of Ophthalmology, Biochemistry, Microbiology or equivalent. Interdisciplinary skills and approaches in Immunology, Microbiology, Pathology, and/or Neuroscience are strongly desired. The incumbent will be expected to demonstrate significant, original, and creative contribution to a research or creative program or project; and demonstrate professional competency and activity.
This is an ongoing recruitment. Positions are dependent on extramural funding.
Rank and salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. degree in the field of Ophthalmology, Biochemistry, Microbiology or equivalent.
