Position description

The Advanced Power and Energy Program (APEP) in the Henry Samueli School of Engineering is anticipating openings of postdoctoral scholar positions from the basic science of energy (e.g., electrochemistry, combustion kinetics) to applied energy research (e.g., fuel cells, gas turbines, smart grids).

These positions require a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and/or Aerospace Engineering.

This is an ongoing recruitment, and positions are dependent upon availability of extramural funding. Initial appointments are for two years, and renewal is based on job performance and availability of support. Note: Total duration of an individual’s postdoctoral service may not exceed five years, including postdoctoral service at other institutions.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and years of experience.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
