Position description

Prof. Anthony J. Durkin/The Durkin lab at the Beckman Laser Institute & Medical Clinic has multiple Postdoctoral Scholar open positions (Levels 0-IV).
Candidates can either have their PhD or MD (or foreign equivalent). Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to applicants with an interest in translational optical imaging and the ability to work in a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary setting. Preference will also be given to candidates with experience assembling instrumentation. Professional communication skills, both written and oral, are very much preferred, as is a willingness to help manage projects. Experience in biophotonics and tissue optics. Experience with MATLAB programming is desirable.

Responsibilities include collection and analysis of Spatial Frequency Domain Imaging data from in both preclinical and clinical settings as well as instrument design, fabrication, validation and application.

All appointments are for two years with the potential for extension dependent upon performance and funding.

Candidates must hold a doctoral degree or equivalent by the start of the appointment.
