Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
The salary range: Total Negotiated Salary (TNS) calculations for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation ranging from $220,000-$280,000. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. See Professorial Series (Adjunct, Clinical X, HS Clinical, In Residence, Ladder Rank) and Professor of Teaching Series – Health Sciences Compensation Plan . This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
The Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) at the University of California, Irvine seeks qualified candidates for an opening of a PM&R/pain medicine specialist position. The opening will be at the level of Assistant Clinical Professor in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series . Clinicians interested in pursuing an academic career in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Pain Medicine subspecialty will be given the opportunity to grow in a dynamic department. The department provides care in UCI Health clinical locations. Our team includes a group of innovative, forward-thinking individuals with high standards of teaching, research, and patient care.
Fellowship trained or equivalent experience is desired. The Health Sciences Assistant Clinical Professor physician will provide care at UCI Medical Center and/or affiliated sites in Orange County and nearby region.
UCI Medical Center is a 459-bed acute care hospital equipped with state-of-the-art operating rooms and is the region’s only Level I trauma center and Level II pediatric trauma center. It is the primary teaching and training location for the UCI School of Medicine. For 21 consecutive years, the medical center has been rated among America’s Best Hospitals by U.S. News & World. UCI Health is building a new world-class hospital, UCI Medical Center-Irvine, a full-service academic health complex that will bring a broad spectrum of the most advanced healthcare services. The PM&R pain specialist will join other faculty working in UCI’s pain management clinic as well as the comprehensive spine care clinic.

QUALIFICATIONS
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
Candidate must hold a M.D., DO, or M.D./Ph.D. degree(s) and be eligible for California Licensure; Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Board eligible/certified and licensed to practice in the state of California. Fellowship trained (ACGME) or equivalent experience desired.
