Position overview

Salary range: The salary range for this position is $83,600 -$108,500. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. See Professor and Professor of Teaching Series – Academic Year Regular Scales. “Off-scale salaries” and other components of pay, i.e., a salary that is higher than the published system-wide salary at the designated rank and step, are offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions.

Position description

The Department of Urban Planning and Public Policy (UPPP) at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty member whose research addresses at least one of the following topics: transportation, housing, or public administration. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong record of research and teaching and reinforce UPPP’s leadership in social justice and sustainability.

Priority will be given to applications received by October 15, 2024; however, applications will be accepted until the position is filled. Candidates should have completed a Ph.D. in public administration, public policy, urban planning, economics, geography, sociology, political science or a related field. Candidates who expect to receive a Ph.D. by July 1, 2025 will also be considered.
