Position description
The Department of Mathematics at the University of California, Irvine invites applications for two non-tenure-track post-doctoral positions in Mathematics. These are 3-year, termed positions that involve research and teaching, and are funded by the department’s NSF supported “Southern California Geometry and Topology Center.” Outstanding candidates in all areas of (algebraic, complex, differential) geometry and topology will be considered, with a special focus on the theory of existence and regularity of geometric PDE, moduli spaces of canonical geometries, and the arithmetic and topology of complex varieties. RTG VAPs teach no more than three quarter classes per year, and will receive research support for conference travel and other needs. Strong promise in research and teaching is required. Appointments will be effective July 1, 2025, or later. Applicants must be citizens, nationals, or permanent residents of the United States or its territories and possessions, and must possess a Ph.D. in Mathematics or related field by employment start date.
