Position description
The Specialist (Junior or Assistant, depending on experience) will independently design and execute a variety of MERFISH experiments, including reagent prep, slide prep, sample prep, and data analysis. The specialist is expected to read and critically analyze scholarly articles to stay current with advancements in the field. Experience working with mice is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
● Prepare samples and reagents
● Order laboratory supplies
● Maintain inventory logs for samples, supplies and reagents
● Update standard operating procedures and protocols
● Keep maintenance logs for laboratory machinery and tools
● May be required to work overtime to complete experiment

Qualifications
• Junior Specialists - Appointees to the Junior rank should possess a baccalaureate degree (or equivalent degree) or equivalent research experience.
• Assistant Specialists - Appointees to the Assistant rank should possess a master’s degree (or equivalent degree), or five years of experience demonstrating expertise in the relevant specialization.
