Position Details
Position 1: Fluid Mechanics
We are seeking a candidate with expertise in theoretical or experimental fluid mechanics, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), or programming in C++ and/or Python. A strong background in particle image velocimetry (PIV), particularly with multiplanar PIV techniques, is highly desirable. This position involves applying advanced fluid dynamics principles into development of novel cardiac imaging technologies, making significant contributions to our understanding of cardiac flow dynamics.
Position 2: Tissue Culture and Mitochondria
The second position requires a candidate with robust experience in tissue culture and/or mitochondrial research. Applicants should demonstrate a deep understanding of tissue culture techniques, with a particular emphasis on applications in heart valves and/or mitochondria.
Position 3: Cloud Computing and AI Applications in Medical Imaging
The third position focuses on leveraging cloud computing and artificial intelligence (AI) in the context of medical imaging techniques, specifically MRI and ultrasound. Candidates with experience in these areas will be well-positioned to contribute to innovative solutions in cardiovascular diagnostics.
Candidate Qualifications
Successful applicants should possess:
• A Ph.D. or equivalent degree in a relevant field, such as applied or theoretical mathematics, mechanical or aerospace engineering, computer science or engineering, electrical engineering, materials science, applied biology, or biomedical engineering.
• A strong commitment to pursuing a research career.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Each of these roles requires a proactive and independent research approach, along with a collaborative spirit to drive forward our ambitious research agenda. We look forward to welcoming talented scholars who are eager to contribute to impactful advancements in cardiovascular science and engineering.
