Position description

The Department of Population Health and Disease Prevention at the University of California, Irvine, invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher position in HIV behavioral and social network epidemiology. The researcher will be asked to contribute to the analyses of data collected as part of the ANCHOR (Analysis of network composition, health outcomes, and resilience) project that examines HIV risks and other health outcomes in displaced queer populations in Ukraine. The researcher will work closely with Dr. Tetyana Vasylyeva (PI, UC Irvine) and Dr. Britt Skaathun (co-I, UC San Diego), and the rest of the study team.

Additional Information:
Postdoc level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Positions are dependent upon extramural funding. Initial appointments are for one year; renewal is dependent on availability of funding.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

Required skills

  • A doctoral degree in epidemiology or equivalent by the start of the appointment
  • A strong background in behavioral epidemiology research and social network research, with emphasis on quantitative data analysis.
  • A record of publication of peer-reviewed articles in the area of behavioral and social network epidemiology.
  • A solid background in biostatistics and data analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration skills.
