Neurological Surgery

Position Overview

The Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of California, Irvine has positions open in the Specialist series for Junior Specialist throughout the year. Junior Specialists are engaged in specialized fields of neuroscience/neurological surgery with minimal contributions of professional activity and University and/or public service.

This position is a one-year to two-year position. The candidate will work directly with neurosurgery faculty and contribute to faculty's focus research projects through collection of clinical and bench research data, clinical chart reviews for retrospective data analysis, statistical program data analysis, literature searches, management of databases, excel spreadsheets, and the acquisition of reference materials, production of manuscripts and IRB submissions.

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

• Junior Specialists - Appointees to the Junior rank should possess a baccalaureate degree (or equivalent degree) or equivalent research experience.
