Position description
The University of California, Irvine Counseling Center is accepting applications for one Postdoctoral Fellow position, with a focus on outreach activities and suicide prevention & programing. The individual in this position will receive clinical supervision necessary to accrue post- doctoral hours required for CA psychology licensure.
In this position the Postdoctoral Fellow will provide and/or participate in the following services:
- Individual, relationship and group psychotherapy
- Crisis intervention services and technological interventions.
- Case management.
- Conduct intake assessments.
- Develop and/or participate in a special project within outreach activities.
- Provide campus-based consultation and outreach.
- Design and deliver workshops to college students
- Provide culturally relevant psychological services to a diverse student population.
- Provide training for psychology doctoral interns
- Some evening hours are required to conduct outreach activities.
Applicants must have completed 1) an APA accredited or APPIC internship and 2) APA accredited doctoral program in counseling or clinical psychology by the start date.
Salary is $78,300, including full benefits. The UCI Counseling Center has a long history of providing psychological services to the UCI campus community. UCI is a multiculturally rich environment and the Center prides itself on a staff that is competent and diverse. The Counseling Center provides time-limited treatment, assessment, outreach, and crisis intervention to the campus community. The Center is a part of the Division of Student Affairs and has an APA-accredited psychology internship program. Qualifications
A Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an APA accredited academic program and an APA accredited internship program must be completed prior to the date of hire.
