Position description

Project Scientist positions are occasionally available throughout the year in the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics. These positions are under the sponsorship of the faculty member(s) in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics, School of Medicine at the University of California, Irvine.

Project Scientisst make significant and creative contributions to a research or creative project. Appointees may be ongoing members of a research team or may be employed for a limited period of time to contribute high-level skills. Project Scientists have a broad range of knowledge and competency with a high level of independence.

A candidate for a title in this series must have earned a doctorate or its equivalent.
