Position overview

Salary range: Total Negotiated Salary (TNS) calculation depending on specialty can range from $298,000-$450,150. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. This position includes membership in the health science compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.

Position description

The Division of Hospital Medicine and Palliative Care at the University of California, Irvine invites applications for academic-focused positions within our department. These positions will be appointed in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level), commensurate with experience. Our faculty cover two primary sites which allows exposure to a wide breadth of pathology and diverse patient populations:
● UCI Medical Center (Orange): Our flagship tertiary and quaternary care teaching hospital and Level I Trauma Center.
● UCI Health — Irvine: Our newly opened medical campus in the heart of Irvine

Clinical responsibilities may include work on traditional inpatient teaching services with a spectrum of learners from medical students to residents, inpatient services with advanced practice practitioners, consultation services, direct care, surgical comanagement services, and outpatient clinics. Day and night time positions are filled separately, please inquire further if you have a preference for either role.
Full-time faculty are expected to participate in clinical patient care as well as show interest in additional professional responsibilities to include scholarly or administrative endeavors or university or public service.
