Position description
Applications are invited for Math Fellows, subject to renewal for up to three years, in all areas of mathematics. Any Post Doc experience prior to starting at UCI will count towards the overall Math Fellow experience and may effect the amount of years available for renewal. For example, if your postdoc candidate has 3 years of postdoc experience at another university, the maximum they will be able to serve as a Math Fellow at UCI is 2 years. Math Fellows teach no more than five quarter classes per year. Strong promise in research and teaching is required. Appointments will be effective July 1, 2027, or later. Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in Mathematics or related field by employment start date.

Qualifications
A PhD degree in mathematics or a related field by appointment start and a good teaching record is preferred, but applicants with similar education or work experience will be considered.
