Position overview

Salary range: The base salary range for this position is $196,000-$297,600. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. “Off-scale salaries” and other components of pay, i.e., a salary that is higher than the published system-wide salary at the designated rank and step, are offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions.

Position description

The University of California, Irvine School of Law invites applications for tenured/tenure-track faculty positions with a start date of July 1, 2027, in all subject areas, including, but not limited to, the following fields:
• Legal Profession
• Constitutional Law
• Torts
• Environmental Law
• Property
• Evidence
• International Law
• Patent Law
• Health/Bioethics/Biosciences

When hiring, the School of Law is looking for talented faculty with a wide variety of backgrounds, experiences, and ideas who wish to make a difference and a major contribution at an extraordinary public law school. Candidates must hold a J.D. or a Ph.D. or their equivalent in a related area from an accredited institution. All applicants must have a demonstrated history of (or potential for) outstanding teaching, scholarly achievements, and service.
