Position description

Starting Dates:
• September 21, 2026 (Fall)
• January 4, 2027 (Winter)
• March 24, 2027 (Spring)

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering periodically seeks temporary, part-time Lecturers to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in one or more of the following areas:

• Environmental and Energy systems
• Hydrology and Water Resources
• Structures, Geotechnics, and Materials
• Transportation Systems

Candidates who can teach across multiple analysis and design courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels are especially encouraged to apply.

Minimum Qualifications
-PhD in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related field from an accredited university
-Demonstrated, effective teaching experience
-Professional Engineer (PE) license required for candidates teaching design-related courses

This is an open, ongoing applicant pool used to fill part-time Lecturer positions as they arise. Submitting an application does not guarantee an available position; applications are reviewed as departmental teaching needs occur.

• Winter Quarter begins January 4, 2027 and ends March 19, 2027.
