Position description
The UCI Department of Biomedical Engineering in the Samueli School of Engineering is seeking applicants for a part‐time Jr. Specialist position (10 hours per week) for a one‐year appointment in micro‐ and milli‐ engineering for biomedical applications. Applicants should have experience in designing, testing and fabricating micro‐ and/or milli‐devices for ophthalmological and other biomedical applications. Proficiency in CAD software and 3D printing to develop detailed designs for micro‐ and milli‐devices, specifically for the development of ophthalmological and other biomedical applications, is highly desired.
Requirements: Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering, biological sciences or a related field. Good communication and writing skills are required.
