Position description

The Project Scientist will conduct collaborative research on the musculoskeletal mechanics of terrestrial locomotion, with an emphasis on experimental and computational approaches. The position involves designing and executing experiments using vertebrate animal models, including frogs and alligators, to investigate muscle physiology and locomotor function, alongside developing and applying computational models of musculoskeletal mechanics. The Project Scientist is expected to manage and analyze complex datasets, contribute to experimental design across biological and engineering domains, and work closely with a multidisciplinary team of researchers. The role also includes supervising and coordinating the research activities of undergraduate and graduate students in both engineering and biology.

Applicants must hold a PhD in a relevant field and demonstrate strong expertise in data analysis, animal experimentation, and collaborative research.
